BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for Loran "Boots" McCollum of Bloomfield will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home. The Rev. Ron Watts will officiate, with burial in Bloomfield Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7.
McCollum, 82, died Tuesday, May 6, 1997, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Services in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 12, 1914, at Bloomfield, son of Ebbert and Olivia Scism McCollum. He and Della Mitchell were married April 29, 1939. She died March 17, 1990.
McCollum was retired from Brown Sand and Gravel Co. He was a member of Early American Machinery Association of Bloomfield, Scottish Rite of St. Louis, member nad past master of Lakeville Lodge 489 AF&AM in Bell City.
Survivors include two nieces, Glenda Link of Bloomfield, Gail Stallion of Gordonville; and a nephew, Bo Cartwright of Bloomfield.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
