On Friday, Oct. 9, Bobby Lee Loos of Jackson was honored for completing 50 years of employment with Ceramo Company, Inc., in Jackson, Mo. Loos began work at the age of 19. On Friday, Oct. 9, Bobby Lee Loos of Jackson was honored for completing 50 years of employment with Ceramo Company, Inc., in Jackson, Mo.

Loos began work at the age of 19. Ceramo was founded in 1945 and wasn't departmentalized in its early years as it is today. Loos was one of eight employees and performed a variety of duties for his first year. During his second year there he became a kiln operator and remained in that department for 19 years.

In 1978, Loos was transferred to the loading pots. For four years he monitored the heat controls for the dryers and supervised the loading of the dryer racks with pottery. Since 1982, Loos has worked in loading and unloading trucks at the manufacturing facility.

Loos has seen the company grow from a three-year-old company with eight employees to a company that manufactures over 50 million flower pots annually in its 53rd year of continuous operation.

Loos currently has no plans for retirement. Congratulations were received from manufacturing, administrative and management personnel.
