Breanna Kinder, 7, of Jackson recently donated 10 inches of her hair to Locks of Love, a not-for-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children 18 years and younger suffering from long-term medical hair loss.
Breanna's mother showed her a newspaper article of a little girl who donated hair two years ago and Breanna decided she would do the same. Since then she has been growing her hair long enough to meet the donor requirements. Breanna's parents, Vickie and Rodney, and brother, Landon, watched as she had her hair cut at Nicole's Salon in Jackson by Machelle Probst. Probst will not charge when patrons donate to Locks of Love.
Breanna is the granddaughter of Deloris and the late Charles Neace of Jackson, and Robert and Shirley Kinder of Burfordsville, Mo.
