A number of local students were recently awarded University of Missouri Curators scholarships.
Gregory L. Kuntz and Deborah S. Chung, of Cape Girardeau, were among the students who received the awards.
Kuntz, plans to study engineering at the University of Missouri-Rolla after graduating from Notre Dame High School. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin C. Kuntz.
Chung is the daughter of Woo-Sik and Youn Chung. After graduating from Cape Central High School, she plans to study law at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Andrea Seimer and Ryan D. Bryant of Jackson were also scholarship recipients.
Seimer, upon graduation from Jackson R-2 High School, plans to study health-related professions at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Seimer.
Bryant, the son of Dewayne Bryant of Cape Girardeau and Linda Bryant of Jackson, plans to study meteorology at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Marietta J. Yamnitz of Perryville is one of the local students who was awarded the University of Missouri Curators scholarship.
Yamnitz, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Yamnitz, plans to study pharmacy at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, after graduating from Perryville High School.
Sean D. Stuckey of Benton is another recipient of the award. Stuckey plans to study electrical engineering at the University of Missouri-Columbia after completion of classes at Kelly High School. He is the son of Joe and Ann Stuckey.
Angela L. Hogan, from Oran High School, was also awarded the University of Missouri scholarship. Hogan is the daughter of Leroy and Phyllis Hogan and plans to study communications at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
