Tiffany Biggerstaff and Laura Sheets of Cape Girardeau were among those who attended Girls State June 18 to 24 on the campus of William Wood's University at Fulton.

The 54th session of Girls State was sponsored by the Missouri American Legion Auxiliary.

Both Biggerstaff and Sheets attend Cape Girardeau Central High School.

Biggerstaff is a member of the girls swim team, the Letterman's Club, Beta Club, Fellowship of Christian Athlete and the Renaissance Student steering committee. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Biggerstaff, and was sponsored by the Kiwanis Club.

Sheets is president of the National Beta Club, vice president of the National Honor Society, co-president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a member of Red Dagger, chamber choir, varsity basketball and tennis, and was elected senior class secretary. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sheets and was sponsored by the Breakfast Optimist Club.
