Five senior Girl Scouts have been presented the Gold Award by the Otahki Council.
Girls who received the award are Jennifer Brase, Jennifer Edwards, Stacey Cranmer and Jaime Wendel Schremp, all of Jackson; and Kim Caraker Duckworth of Anna, Ill.
The Gold Award, the highest recognition in girl scouting, is awarded to those senior Girl Scouts who earn the Leadership Award, the Career Exploration pin, and do service to their community by planning and carrying out a project.
Also, 25 Girl Scouts received the Silver Award, which is the highest recognition for cadette Girl Scouts.
They were: Erin Brotherton, Susan Dodds, Cathy Goodin, Heather Gregory, Mandy York, Brenda Halter, Erica Welker, Kirsten Werne, Tricia Keller, Joni Mayberry, Melissa Renard, Kelly Renner and Angela Wilson, all of Cape Girardeau.
Christy Etherington and Carrie Heise, both of Jackson.
Amanda Dowd and Nicole Jones, both of Marble Hill.
Courtney Armstrong, Amber Aldridge, Kinley Box, Nicole Irish, Katherine Triantis, Michelle Wallace and Erin Nance, all of Cairo, Ill.
Amanda Boyd of Anna, Ill.
Also honored were the girls who are graduating senior Girl Scouts.
They were: Nikole Keller, Sara Reeves and Bridgid Stone, all of Cape Girardeau; Stephanie Pfefferkorn and Linette Welter, both of Chaffee; Jennifer Brase, Stacey Cranmer, Jennifer Edwards and Jaime Wendel Schremp, all of Jackson; Dana Sturm of Scott City; Donna Jo Chandler, Christine Duncan and Olivia Vance, all of Marble Hill; Kim Caraker Duckworth and Faith Rayanyi, both of Anna; and Kerry Comte, Jennifer Hildebrand, Amy Frieger, Emily Kutz, Sherri Lappe, Olanda Reitzel, Sirena Creason, Angela Martens, Amie pannier, Stephanie Schumer and Rebecca Steffens, all of Perryville.
