The Cape Girardeau Regional Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 33 recently raised $3,400 for the Easter Seals Society for use in its local projects.

Tom Anderson and River Eagle Distributing Co. of Cape Girardeau provided two box seat tickets to a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game and two baseballs autographed by Cardinals players as a grand prize for those who donated money to Easter Seals. Officers also raised more than $500 while answering telephones during the Easter Seals Telethon March 6.

Allen Clark of Aid Association for Lutherans Branch 351 matched $250 raised by the FOP for Easter Seals.

The Easter Seals Society has been the chosen philanthropy of the national FOP since its inception in 1975. The Cape Girardeau lodge has raised money for the cause over the past three years.
