After nearly three years of inactivity, the Cape Girardeau chapter of the Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship International is gearing back up.

Bob Nations said there seemed to be much local interest in reviving the group. He said the organization operates in 160 nations and is really growing in membership around the world.

Participation in the United States dropped off about 10 years ago, but interest has renewed across the country. The group attracts Christian businessmen from all denominations.

The local group will gather at 8 a.m. Sept. 12 for a breakfast at Holiday Inn.

Nations said the local meetings will be geared toward business and networking.

The local chapter plans to meet every other Saturday at the same time and place, featuring a guest speaker.

The Sept. 12 speaker will be Stu Miller, a Christian recording artist from Nashville.

Membership is open to the public. Nations said the meeting should last until about 9:30.
