Cape man pleads guilty on crack cocaine charge
A Cape Girardeau man pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court on Thursday to charges of distributing crack cocaine. Jamoris Nunley, 22, pleaded guilty to one felony count before U.S. District Judge Rodney W. Sippel. On July 9, 2003, Nunley distributed cocaine base to an undercover officer working for the Missouri State Highway Patrol in exchange for $400 in the 500 block of South Benton Street. Nunley now faces a maximum punishment of 30 years in prison and a $2 million fine. He will be sentenced Dec. 20.
Boy Scouts plan clothing drive for mission trip
Boy Scout Troop 311, Jackson, will hold a used clothing drive to benefit missions and ministries and their trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico.
