Family Resource Center
Police are investigating a break-in that occurred Monday night at the Cape Girardeau Area Family Resource Center of 1202 S. Sprigg St. The suspect in the burglary gained entry to the resource center via the southeast door of the facility, said Cpl. Jason Selzer, spokesman for the Cape Girardeau police.
A metal lockbox containing a small amount of cash was reported stolen.
In addition, a wooden storage cabinet and a foosball table were damaged as the burglar moved stuff around trying to get at the lockbox, Selzer said.
Police have no suspects at this time, he said.
