FRUITLAND, Mo. -- Tuesday's Fruitland Livestock Auction results: Receipts: 300. Last week 432. Compared to last week steers and heifers sold steady to 2.00 higher. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady; demand moderate and supply light. Cows made up approximately 25 percent of the run, 75 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 50 percent of the offering and 50 percent heifers. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 9 percent.

PATTON, Mo. -- Monday's Patton Livestock Auction results: Cattle receipts 807. Compared to a week ago: 809. Compared to last week steers and heifers under 500 lbs sold steady, the feeder offering over 500 lbs sold 1.00-3.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold steady and bulls sold 2.00 lower; demand moderate, supply light. There was a higher percentage of farmers buying this week than in past sales. The ground in the surrounding area is still too wet for planting or haying. Cows and bulls made up about 8 percent of the run, 92 percent feeders. Steers made up about 51 percent of the offering and 49 percent heifers. Offerings over 600 totaled about 31 percent.
