Fruitland LivestockFRUITLAND, Mo. -- Fruitland Livestock Auction Tuesday. Receipts, 531; last week, 664; last year, 410; compared to last week feeder steers and heifers sold 2.00-4.00 lower.

Slaughter cows and bulls sold 2.00 lower; Demand and supply light. Cows made up approximately 31 percent of the run, feeders 69 percent. Steers made up approximately 51 percent of the offering, 5 percent Holsteins and 44 percent heifers. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 17 percent.

Feeder steers: Medium and Large 1-2 240 lbs 110.00-112.00; 300-325 lbs 106.00-109.00; 400-450 lbs 83.50-94.00; 500-600 lbs 78.00-86.25; 600-650 lbs 75.50-80.25; 725-750 lbs 73.25-82.25; 800-825 lbs 64.00-72.25.

Compared to last week steers 250-500 lbs sold 1.00 lower, the rest of the steer and heifer offering sold 2.00-4.00 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls sold 2.00 lower; Demand and supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 14 percent of the run, feeders 86 percent. Steers made up approximately 58 percent of the offering and 42 percent heifers.

Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 15 percent.
