LITERACY TUTOR TRAINING SCHEDULED MARCH 19

The Adult Learning Center at the Cape Girardeau Vocational-Technical School will hold a tutor training workshop to train volunteers to teach "new readers."

The session will be held March 19 from 8 a.m.-noon at the Vo-Tech school. Susan Clubb and Terri Hirsch will lead the workshop.

"Upon completion of the workshop," Hirsch said, "volunteers will be assigned a student with whom they will meet for lessons at the Vo-Tech school once or twice a week."

No prior teaching experience is necessary to become a volunteer. To register or for information, call Hirsch at 334-9484.
