Linda Lee Mungle, 76, passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024, at her home in Fredericktown. She was born Jan. 24, 1948, in Ironton to Thomas Leo and Sarah Belle White Tinnin.
On May 18, 1968, she married the love of her life, Larry Everett Mungle in Fredericktown, where their daughters were born and raised.
Linda was a homemaker, who also helped run the family farm. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Linda had a love for nature and all animals. She enjoyed collecting beautiful rocks, watching her hummingbirds and going to yard sales. She was of the Presbyterian faith and saw the beauty in the little things and good in everyone she met.
In addition to her loving husband of 55 years, Linda is survived by their three daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Terry Helm of Fredericktown, Carla and Rocky Petty, also of Fredericktown, and Paula and Andrew Tarry of Scott City; six grandchildren, Terra and Tyler Helm, T.J. and Larah Petty and Colin and Owen Tarry; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving is one brother, Benny Tinnin of Fredericktown; numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law and cousins she deeply loved.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; father- and mother-in-law, Everett and Leona Mungle; and brothers-in-law, Jerry, John and Kenneth Mungle.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, at the funeral home, with Pastor Raymond Michael officiating.
Interment will be in Snowdenville Cemetery near Fredericktown.
