But Brame phoned Southeast's Dr. Frank Nickell earlier in the day to say he'd missed his flight out of Los Angeles because an accident halted traffic on the freeway...

Honest Abe missed his plane Thursday.

Lincoln impersonator Charles Brame was scheduled to present his one-man show "An Evening with Abraham Lincoln" Thursday night at Academic Auditorium. But Brame phoned Southeast's Dr. Frank Nickell earlier in the day to say he'd missed his flight out of Los Angeles because an accident halted traffic on the freeway.

Brame took another flight and was scheduled to arrive in St. Louis about 4:30 p.m. When he still had not arrived here 30 minutes past the scheduled 8 p.m. start, Nickell sent the audience of about 90 home.

He said the show will be rescheduled.
