Conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh is endorsing fellow Cape Girardeau native Missouri Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder in his bid for re-election. The Kinder campaign posted the radio ad with an image of Limbaugh on its website. In the ad, Limbaugh acknowledges that "I'm doing something here I rarely do" -- making political campaign endorsements -- but says Kinder is a lifelong, close friend with true conservative credentials. The two grew up together in Cape Girardeau. Kinder, who was once being eyed as a potential nominee for governor, is facing a primary election fight in his battle to retain his post as lieutenant governor. Three other Republicans filed to run against Kinder: Brad Lager, Charles W. Kullmann and Mike Carter.
