LEUKEMIA WALK-A-THON WILL BE HELD ON MAY 6

The Town and Country FCE Club will sponsor the fourth annual Walk-A-Thon next Saturday from 10 to noon at Cape Girardeau County Park North. Check-in is at Shelter 8.

Sponsor forms may be obtained at County Park, University of Missouri Extension Office in Jackson or by calling 243-5570.

Money from the Walk-A-Thon supports the leukemia society's research efforts and local patient assistance programs.

Refreshments will be served following the Walk-A-Thon. Participants will be rewarded prizes, depending on how much money is raised. Among the prizes are visors, T-shirts, barrel bags, AM-FM stereo cassettes with headphones and an all-weather-underwater camera.
