Nathan Fraser, a senior, was the third-runner up for the title. He was nominated by Chi Omega fraternity and is the son of John and Patty Fraser of Scott City.

Other local students nominated for the title were Lance Haman, a senior. He was nominated by Sigma Chi fraternity. He is the son of John and Padget Haman of Cape Girardeau.

Mark Winschel, also a senior, was nominated by Phi Kappa Theta fraternity. He is the son of Marge and Glen Winschel of Perryville.
