LEARNING: SWINFORD CHOSEN FOR RECITAL

Kristin Swinford was recently selected for one of the performance positions on the sixth annual Belmont University School of Music Classical Singer's Recital. She performed Oct. 18 in Massey Concert Hall, located on the campus of Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn.

Swinford is a junior classical voice performance major and currently studies with Dr. Shirley Zielinski. her musical experiences include study and performance at Depark University and Missouri Baptist College. She has appeared in The Coronation of Poppea, Faust, and The Magic Flute. She also plays piano and plans to pursue a career as a singer/songwriter of Christian music.

After graduation, she plans to pursue graduate studies in voice.
