LEARNING: PRACTICAL NURSING CLASS HOLDS GRADUATION EXERCISES

The Cape Girardeau Area Vocational Technical School held a graduation ceremony for Practical Nursing Class 24 Sept. 24 at Grace United Methodist Church.

Each graduate received a diploma, nursing pin and single rose. The Student Nurse of the Year award was received by Jennifer Wessell. This award's recipient is selected by classmates. Wessell also was awarded a certificate for perfect attendance. Scholarships from Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing were awarded to Kathy McDowell and Dana Smith.

Class #24 graduates were: Linda Austin, Robin Austin, Debbie Bently, Rheta Bently, Sandy Carter, Amber Delay, Sandy Friga, Deborah Goins, Rebecca Helt, David Holshouser, Anita James, Tracy Landis, Dionne Mason, Kathy McDowell, Christina Merritt, Sarah Moore, Traci Overbeck, Angela Schrum, Dana Smith, Chasady Stortz, Sara Watson and Jennifer Wessell.
