Brian Egbert of Cape Girardeau was named Music Camper of the Week at Southeast Missouri State University. He was honored during Junior and Senior High School Band and Orchestra Camp, held July 18 through July 22. Egbert, who plays trumpet, is the son of Jon and Barb Egbert.
Delta Elementary School students Myra Henson, daughter of Jeremy and Beth Henson, and Dallas Naramore, son of Sidney and Laura Naramore, attended the Junior National Youth Leader Conference in Washington, D.C., last week. Both students also won the American Legion Award.
* Alex Ramsey, a 2004 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School, has been named to the 2006 spring semester dean's list at the University of Evansville in Indiana. He recently received a scholarship to attend University of Evansville-affiliated Harlaxton College in England for the spring 2007 semester.
* Rachel Harris of Cape Girardeau has been awarded a Regents' Scholarship and a Missouri Assessment Program Scholarship to attend Southeast Missouri State University. A 2006 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School, she is the daughter of Donald and Beverly Harris of Cape Girardeau.
* Tina Suhre of Jackson has been awarded a President's Plus Scholarship and a Missouri Assessment Program Scholarship to attend Southeast Missouri State University. A 2006 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School, she is the daughter of Ken and Sandie Suhre of Jackson.
* Derek Pobst of Cape Girardeau has been awarded a Community College Scholarship to attend Southeast Missouri State University. A graduate of Three Rivers Community College, he is the son of Allen and Carolyn Pobst of Bell City, Mo.
