Local pupils earn high education scholarships
Heather Tuschoff, daughter of Tim and Bev Tuschhoff and a 2003 graduate of Jackson High School, received the Pharmacists Mutual Book Award scholarship from St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
Justin Lusk, son of Lonnie and Debbie Lusk of Cape Girardeau, received the Distinguished Alumni Award for Service to the Profession scholarship from St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
The following students received scholarships in the P&G Fund Scholarship Competition: Garrett Huck, Amanda Sutterer and Kara Bollinger, Jackson High School; Sarah Cook, Delta High School; Justin Voss and Blake Essner, Notre Dame Regional High School.
Jennifer Diebold of Cape Girardeau, daughter of Rick and Sarah Ross and a 2001 graduate of Notre Dame, received the CVS/pharmacy Scholars Award at St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
Jessica N. Leadbetter of Millersville, daughter of Donna and Russell Leadbetter and a graduate of Jackson High School, received the 2005 Buchheit CEO Scholarship.
Sara Unverferth of Jackson, daughter of Paul Unverferth and a graduate of Jackson High School, received the 2005 Buchheit CEO Scholarship.
Olivia Morgan of Scott City, daughter of Barry and Gail Walker, received the Gale Dale Memorial, Scott City Women's Club, Commerce Better Community and Security Bank and Trust scholarships.
Matthew Miller of Scott City, son of Gary and Gail Miller, received a Boy's State scholarship to Southeast Missouri State University.
Bruce Matlock of Scott City, son of Stephen and Lynette Matlock, received a band scholarship for Shawnee Community College.
James Massey of Scott City, son of David and Nita Massey, received the Paul Guard Honor Scholarship to Southeast Missouri State University.
John Leible of Scott City, son of Rick and Joyce Leible, received the Excellence Award and W.S. and L.R. Timmons Scholarship to University of Missouri-Columbia.
Christy Laxton of Scott City, daughter of William and Sharon Laxton, received a dean's scholarship to Cornell College in Cornell, Iowa.
Angela Laxton of Scott City, daughter of William and Sharon Laxton, received an athletic scholarship to Cornell College.
Mark Johnston of Scott City, son of Tim and Linda Johnston, received the Keith Anderson Memorial Scholarship to Southeast Missouri State University.
