Area students receive President's scholarships
Kara Beckett and Tiffany Goehman, both of Cape Girardeau, and Eric Williams of Jackson have been awarded President's scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University. Williams also was awarded a Missouri Leadership Award and Boy's State Leadership Award. Beckett, a senior at Central High School, is the daughter of Lisa and Jerry Beckett of Cape Girardeau. Goehman is a senior at Jackson High School. She is the daughter of Matt and Robin Goehman of Cape Girardeau. Williams, a senior at Jackson High School, is the son of Nancy and Duayne Williams of Jackson.
President's Plus scholarships awarded
Whitney Ostendorf and Angela Heise, both of Cape Girardeau, have been awarded President's Plus scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University. A senior at Notre Dame Regional High School, Ostendorf is the daughter of Richard and Tammy Ostendorf of Cape Girardeau. Heise, a senior at Central High School, is the daughter of Jeff and Helen Heise of Cape Girardeau.

Area students receive Regents' scholarships
Samantha Frank and Zachary Dillard, both of Cape Girardeau, and Ross Fleming of Jackson have been awarded Regents' scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University. Frank, a senior at Central High School, is the daughter of Bill and Cecelia Frank of Cape Girardeau and Mary Ann Frank of Olney, Ill. Dillard, a senior at Notre Dame Regional High School, is the son of Todd and Kim Goodson of Cape Girardeau. Fleming, a senior at Jackson High School, is the son of Sydney Egan of Jackson and Lawrence Fleming of Cape Girardeau.
Students receive state leadership awards
Jessica Yarbro of Cape Girardeau, Ashley Elliott of Delta, Candy Oliphant of Millersville and Rebecca Martin of Burfordville have been awarded Missouri Leadership awards to attend Southeast Missouri State University. Martin also received a Girl's State Leadership Award. Yarbro is a senior at Central High School. She is the daughter of Mark and Kimberly Hanners of Cape Girardeau. Elliott is a senior at Delta High School. She is the daughter of Paul and De'Shea Elliott of Chaffee. Oliphant is a senior at Jackson High School. She is the daughter of Genny Ferguson of Millersville and Randy Oliphant. Martin is a senior at Jackson High School.
