Health scholarship applications available
Saint Francis Foundation and Auxiliary scholarship applications are now available for the 2006 health-care scholarships. The group annually awards approximately 20 scholarships of $1,000 each for the next academic year. Applicants must have successfully completed one year of an accredited health-care program and have at least a 2.5 grade point average. In addition, all applicants must submit a copy of a recent college transcript and a complete application form to the Saint Francis Foundation by 4:30 p.m. June 12.
The Central Tiger Dance Team received many awards during the 2005-2006 season. Last summer, the Tiger dancers received a superior ribbon at dance camp. On Feb. 4, Tiger dancers took home the first-place trophy at the St. Charles Classic for their kick routine in the 4-A division. Lorrin Lynn, Taylor McMillan and Kaeli Kimes were recognized for their outstanding solo performances. The dance team received second place in jazz and kick at the state championships held in Blue Springs, Mo. Tiger dancers also received Academic All-State recognition. Team members -- besides Lynn, McMillan and Kimes -- include Tatianna Cwick, Morgan Feuerhahn, Paige Foley, Maggie Limbaugh, Catherine Moreton, Susan Zimmer, Carsen Bahn, Anne-Marie Bernhardt, Meredith Busch, Brittany Bollinger, Kristen Ford, Kathryn Renfrow, Rebecca Rollins, Ashley Smith, Emily Williams, Audrey Feuerhahn and Catherine Feuerhahn.
* Lauren Beussink of Cape Girardeau was named to the dean's list for the fall 2005 semester at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
* Brad Main of Cape Girardeau was named to the dean's list for the fall 2005 semester at Westminster College in Fulton, Mo.
* Jennifer Diebold, Kasie Essner and Blake Urhahn, all of Cape Girardeau; Amanda Watson, Rachel Lowry and Heather Tuschhoff, all of Jackson; Darren Willey of Scott City, Derek Palisch of Altenburg, Mo., and Katie Palmer of Thebes, Ill., have been named to the dean's list for the fall 2005 semester at St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
