Main elected fraternity president, on dean's list

Brad Main was recently elected president of the Delta Omicron chapter of Delta Tau Delta fraternity at Westminster College in Fulton, Mo. He was also named to the dean's list for the fall 2004 semester. Main is the son of Jim and Marge Main of Cape Girardeau.

Cape student gets three Fulton scholarships

Corey Main recently received three scholarships from Westminster College in Fulton, Mo., including the Achievement Award, Alumni Sibling Award and the Founders Award. He is the son of Jim and Marge Main of Cape Girardeau.

Pharmacy college dean's list names local students

The following local students were named to the fall 2004 dean's list at St. Louis College of Pharmacy:

Saxony student accepted to fine arts program

Cara Mueller was recently accepted to the Fine Arts Academy Summer Program at Southwest Missouri State University. Mueller will spend three weeks exploring a cross-section of the arts. She is a student at Saxony Lutheran High School in Fruitland.

Area students graduate with honors from Mizzou

The following local students recently graduated with honors from the University of Missouri-Columbia:

Area students receive Southeast scholarships

Several area students have been awarded the President's Plus Scholarship and a Missouri Leadership Award to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 2005-2006 academic year. They are:

Jennifer L. Schenkelberg of Cape Girardeau has been awarded the President's Plus Scholarship and a Missouri Leadership Award. She is a senior at Central High School, and is the daughter of Paul and Karen Schenkelberg.

Racheal M. Weidenbenner of Cape Girardeau has been awarded the President's Plus Scholarship and a Missouri Leadership Award. She will be a 2005 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School and is the daughter of Curtis and Stephanie Weidenbenner.

Zachary Brazer of Jackson has been awarded a President's Scholarship. Brazer will be a 2005 graduate of Jackson High School. He is the son of Ed and Vicki Brazer.

John Keehn Brookover of Cape Girardeau has been awarded a President's Scholarship. Broookover will be a 2005 graduate of Central High School and is the son of Gary and Sherry Brookover.

Erica Schabbing of Cape Girardeau has been awarded a President's Scholarship and Missouri Leadership Award. Schabbing will be a 2005 graduate of Central High School. She is the daughter of Annette and David Schabbing.

Brooke Johnson of Cape Girardeau has been awarded a Missouri Leadership Award. Johnson will be a 2005 graduate of Central High School. She is the daughter of Mike and Rhonda of Cape Girardeau and Keith Johnson of Swarts Creek, Mich.

Melissa Miller of Scott City has been awarded a Missouri Leadership Award. Miller will be a 2005 graduate of Scott City High School. She is the daughter of Jeff Miller of Scott City and Bonnie Miller.

Governor's scholarships awarded to local students

The Governor's Scholarships are the most prestigious academic honor awarded to beginning freshmen who have been accepted by Southeast Missouri State University. Travis Eakin of Bell City, Mo., and Micah McDowell of Jackson have each received Governor's Scholarships. Eakin will be a 2005 graduate of Bell City High School. He is the son of Paul Eakin of Bell City, and Pat Eakin of Jackson. McDowell will be a 2005 graduate of Eagle Ridge High School. He is the son of Nanette McDowell and A. Scott McDowell.

Students win Regents' Scholarships to SEMO

Jessica Bowers of Delta, Mo., will be a 2005 graduate of Delta High School. She is the daughter of Beth and Donnie Bowers.

Jessica Fellows of Jackson will be a 2005 graduate of Jackson High School. She is the daughter of Allen and Kathy Fellows.

Darryl Jenkins of Jackson will be a 2005 graduate of Jackson High School. She is the daughter of Paul and Pam Jenkins.

Jessica Klipfel of Cape Girardeau will be a 2005 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. She is the daughter of Michael and Therese Klipfel.

Nicole Moore of Jackson will be a 2005 graduate of Jackson High School. She is the daughter of Randy and Natasha Moore.

Kenny Schmitz of Cape Girardeau will be a 2005 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. He is the son of Ken and Maureen Schmitz.

Amanda Spence of Jackson will be a 2005 graduate of Jackson High School. She is the daughter of Linda and James Spence.

Lee receives PhiTheta Kappa Scholarship

Ashley Nicole Lee of Scott City has received a Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship to attend Southeast Missouri State University. Lee is a 2004 graduate of John A. Logan Community College and a 2001 graduate of Scott City High School. She is the daughter of Butch and Sharon Lee.
