Ramsey on University of Evansville's dean's list

Alex Ramsey, a 2004 graduate of Central High School, was named to the fall 2004 semester dean's list at the University of Evansville in Evansville, Ind. Ramsey is the son of Mac and Pat Ramsey of Burfordville.

Jordan earns spot on Hillsdale dean's list

Stephanie Jordan was named to the fall 2004 semester dean's list at Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Mich. Jordan is the daughter of David and Joanne Jordan of Cape Girardeau and a 2003 graduate of Central High School.

Lumsden makes Central Methodist dean's list

Marc Lumsden has been named to the fall 2004 dean's list at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo. Lumsden is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Todd Lumsden of Jackson.

Burger on dean's list at SLU's Doisy School

Major Burger was named to the fall 2004 semester dean's list at St. Louis University's Doisy School of Allied Health Professions. He is the son Russell and Stephanie Burger of Scott County.

Kelly grad makes dean's list at Southern Baptist

Kristina New was named to the fall 2004 semester trustee's list at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo. New is the daughter of Ellen New of Charleston, Mo. and Kenny and Cynthia New of Cape Girardeau. She is a 2003 graduate of Kelly High School.

Area students named to dean's list at Vanderbilt

Meredith Toole of Cape Girardeau and Amanda Gould of Jackson were named to the 2004 fall semester dean's list at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. Toole is the daughter of Adrian Toole of Cape Girardeau. Gould is the daughter of Cathy S. Gould of Jackson.

Jackson high wins 'battle of the belts' contest

Jackson High School's Team Spirit recently won a battle of the belts contest sponsored by MADD. Students from Jackson, Central and Notre Dame Regional high schools were challenged to increase their use of seat belts during December. Jackson students received $500 for winning the contest.
