Southwest students earn spot on dean's list

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Local students were among 3,458 to earn a spot on the 2003 fall semester dean's list at Southwest Missouri State University. Students from Cape Girardeau were: Mark Barylski, Jennifer Daume, Amanda Dumey, Sarah Hickle, Megan Ladd, Jennifer Schlosser, Stephen Smith. Students from Jackson were: Zachary Beussink, Jessica Bill, Amanda Crouch, David Haas, Jeremy Houchins, Sarah Luehrs, Christopher Lynn, Bradley Mirly, Kathryn Perry.

Buehrle graduates from Oklahoma State

Mark Buehrle recently graduated from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla., with a bachelor's degree in English. He is the son of Tony and Donna Buehrle and a 1995 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. He was a member of Zeta Beta Tau fraternity at the university.

Southeast Missouri gives scholarships to students

Local students recently received scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University during the 2004-05 year.

President's Scholarships

Tyson Seabaugh, a 2004 graduate of Central High School, is the son of Ronald and Zara Seabaugh of Cape Girar-deau.

Monica Senciboy, a 2004 graduate of Kelly High School, is the daughter of Mike and Linda Senciboy of Benton, Mo.

Michelle Pinkley, a 2004 graduate of Central High School, is the daughter of Timothy and Barbara Pinkley of Cape Girardeau.

Leadership Award

Jeremy Schlosser, of Scott City, is the son of Darryl and Shawn Schlosser.

Governor's Scholarship

April Heldermann, a 2004 graduate of Delta High School, is the daughter of James and Carolyn Helderman of Whitewater.

Regents' Scholarships

Amanda Herbst, a 2004 graduate of Jackson High School, is the daughter of Donna Sinn of Cape Girar-deau and Douglas Herbst.

Dong Cai, a 2004 graduate of Central High School, is the son of Zhixiang Cai and Ruhing Luo of Cape Girardeau.

Sarah Metje, a 2004 graduate of Central High School, is the daughter of Kandee Metje and Kirk Metje of Cape Girardeau.

Amber Saupe, a 2004 graduate of Jackson High School, is the daughter of Berla and Tom Strong of Cape Girardeau and Rick Saupe of Jackson.

Michael Painton, a 2004 graduate of Bell City High School, is the son of Donnie and Rhonda Painton of Oran, Mo.

Danielle Auer, a 2004 graduate of Central High School, is the daughter of Mark and Joy Auer of Cape Girardeau.
