Christy Laxton and Angela Laxton, both seniors at Scott City High School, were recently selected to compete for the National Honor Society scholarships. Marching Tigers take third place in Carbondale

The Cape Central Marching Tiger Band recently received third-place honors at Carbondale, Ill. At a competition in St. Louis, the band was awarded a new standing platform for having the greatest percent increase in parents and fans attending the band performance. The band wrapped up the season by performing at the University of Missouri at Columbia, competing against more than 30 bands statewide. The band did not place in the top five but earned 72 points.
