AAA offers contest for Missouri students
Missouri high school students can earn a chance for a $25,000 college scholarship in the fourth annual AAA Travel High School Challenge. The contest begins with a 40-question online quiz available through Jan. 17 at www.aaa. com/TravelChallenge. The top five scorers in Missouri will take a written exam in early March. The top Missouri scorer wins an expense-paid trip for two to compete in the national finals, May 13 through 16 at Universal Orlando. Interested students can sign up for the contest anytime prior to Jan. 17.
Kari Bragg of Cape Girardeau has been named to the president's list at Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tenn., for the fall semester by maintaining a 4.0 grade point average. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Bragg.
Jeremy Nall of Advance, Mo., was named to the dean's list for the fall semester at Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Nall, the son of Tom and Debbie Nall of Advance, will attend Southeast Missouri State University this spring semester.
Angel Butler of Scott City has earned dean's list honors for the fall semester at Centenary College in Shreveport, La.

Kelley Ann Green, formerly of Cape Girardeau, recently completed requirements for a master of education in curriculum and instruction from the University of Missouri-Columbia through the school's teaching fellowship program. Green is a third-grade teacher in Columbia, Mo. She is the daughter of Ken and Ann Green of Cape Girardeau.
Kendra Hinkebein Anderson of Jackson recently graduated with honors from Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. While at Southeast, she was named to the dean's list and the national dean's list. She received the Nurse Scholar Award at graduation. She is the daughter of Tom and Sharon Hinkebein, and the wife of Mark Anderson, all of Jackson.
Douglas Felter of Benton, Mo., graduated with a master of science degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln at a commencement ceremony on Dec. 17.
Kindergarten teacher Bonnie LeGrand received the Teacher of the Month Award for December from the Alma Schrader PTA.
