LAWMAKERS WILL SPEAK AT FIRST FRIDAY COFFEE

Members of the area's legislative contingent will speak at the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce First Friday Coffee this week.

The coffee will begin at 7:30 a.m. Friday at Drury Lodge.

Scheduled to speak are state Sen. Peter Kinder, R-Cape Girardeau, and state Reps. Mary Kasten, R-Cape Girardeau, and David Schwab, R-Jackson.

Lawmakers will update the chamber membership about activities in the current session of the legislature.

Sponsor for this month's gathering is Southwestern Bell.

A function organized by the chamber's membership committee, the First Friday Coffee is meant to provide informative programs for chamber members and their guests.
