Law would allow fortunetelling in St. Louis
ST. LOUIS -- Fortunetellers may already know what the future holds for them in St. Louis, but the rest of us will need to wait for the city's board of aldermen to decide. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that if Alderman Shane Cohn gets his way, fortunetelling could become legal in the city. Another effort to get rid of the law in 1994 failed. Several aldermen argued at the time that the elderly could be fleeced and defrauded by phony seers.
