ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Lambert Airport officials expect 140,000 travelers to depart over the next week, and they're making plans to ease the burden. The St. Louis airport announced Monday it will open its cell phone parking lot on Wednesday. In fact, a second, temporary, cell phone lot will also be opened. The idea is for those picking up arriving passengers to have a place to park for free until the visitors calls by cell phone. Then, the driver pulls up to the terminal...

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Lambert Airport officials expect 140,000 travelers to depart over the next week, and they're making plans to ease the burden.

The St. Louis airport announced Monday it will open its cell phone parking lot on Wednesday. In fact, a second, temporary, cell phone lot will also be opened. The idea is for those picking up arriving passengers to have a place to park for free until the visitors calls by cell phone. Then, the driver pulls up to the terminal.

The main cell phone lot has been under construction since early this month. It will be open during daylight hours only. After next Monday, the lot will close again until construction is complete.

Lambert is also adding extra patrols inside and out during the week.
