ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Lambert-St. Louis International Airport has begun $16.9 million in improvements, a first step in a larger renovation plan.
That's along with a $16 million upgrade of Lambert's restaurants and bars as part of a separate campaign at Lambert.
The multiphase renovation program will modernize and upgrade the main terminal and concourses. It's aimed at creating a better passenger experience.
It includes restoring the interior of Lambert's four historic domes, replacing the baggage system and redoing Lambert's road signs.
Future plans call for renovating the main terminal ticketing hall, lower level and concourses.
