Some of the activities the organization is conducting involve supporting America's active duty military personnel by sending care packages regularly, free long-distance phone cards and assisting their families at home.

The Ladies Auxiliary VFW began in 1914. Nationwide, 634,404 members, who are wives, mothers and other female relatives of those who have served overseas during a war, continue this effort.
