L.A. CHOREOGRAPHER VISITS ROYALE BALLET

Dancers from the Royale Ballet dance studio in Cape Girardeau learned new dance steps under the instruction of Los Angeles choreographer Scott Benson recently.
He was invited to Cape Girardeau by Royale Ballet artistic director Gaymarie Tomlinson to teach a jazz workshop and help select dancers for the Ballet Royale Midwest performing company.
Benton also selected a group of dancers from the studio to work with him on a competition routine. This group worked for over 15 hours on Sept. 10 and 11.

Principal dancers selected for the routine were Kim Crader, Jamie Brakefield, Sally Dickson, Allison Brune, Heather Connell, Jennifer Jones and Davique Dumars.
Chorus dancers were Marisa Uzoaru, Heather Cook, Michaelenne Kapper, Jun Allego, Stephanie Miller, Alecia Thomas, Tia Meyer, Brianna Womick, Lucy Mitchell, Jessie Fluegge, Stephanie Morris, Erin Prince, Tiffany Miller, Lyndsey Cook, Cameron Bennett, Roni Hayden, Cory Jones and Natalie Kapper.
Understudies were Danielle Morgan, Breanna New and Jennifer Sturm.
