Jay Landers, vice president for radio at Fifteen Telecommunications Inc. in Louisville, Ky., has been named the new general manager of KRCU-FM, the National Public Radio (NPR) affiliate at Southeast Missouri State University.
The Board of Regents approved the appointment during a meeting in St. Louis last weekend. Landers will begin his duties at the radio station on Oct. 17.
Landers replaces Susan Westfall, who resigned in August 1993. Ferrell Ervin, associate professor of mass communication at Southeast, has served as interim general manager since September 1993.
October will mark Landers' 25th year in radio. He began his communications career as a student at Murray State University in Kentucky.
