The Central High School Scholar Bowl Team ranked 10th in Missouri in a recent Knowledge Master Open competition.
The team came in 262nd of 1,372 schools competing nationwide.
The multiple-choice contest is completed on computers with scores based on correct answers and speed.
The Cape Girardeau team answered 189 questions right and earned 1,473 points. The top Missouri team earned 1,591 points of a possible 2,000. The state mean average was 1,313 and the national mean average was 1,272.
Members of the team are sophomores Jeff Banks, Vijay Dahiya, Kyle Dellagamo, Troy Hooper, Rahul Kamath and Elizabeth Kunz; juniors Alice Chen, Bart Elfrink, Paul Kranawetter and Anada Fomarajan; and senior Sabrina Renka. Ann Bartlett coaches the team.
