Cape Girardeau Central High School baseball coach Terry Kitchen will be recommended to become the school's new athletic director, said Superintendent Neyland Clark.
The Board of Education will vote on the matter at its meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. at 61 N. Clark.
If approved, Kitchen will succeed Gary Lynch as athletic director. Lynch recently stepped down as athletic director to coach football at Central High.
In addition to voting on the athletic director, the board will consider a change in the job description for athletic director. The major change would have the athletic director report to the principals at Central High and Central Junior High schools instead of reporting directly to the superintendent.
Also on the agenda is a recommendation to continue the school's policy of selecting a photographer to take senior photos for the yearbook for 1991-92. A committee of students, parents, staff and administrators will be appointed to review the process.
