JACKSON -- Thursday's performance of the Jackson Municipal Band will feature the old-time country sounds of Bob and Geneva King.
Bob King was named outstanding adult country fiddler at last year's SEMO District Fair, and Geneva King accompanies him on keyboard.
The Kings have been performing for 50 years and have toured throughout the Midwest.
The band's portion of the performance will include "Irving Berlin Showstoppers," "Trombone King," "Down By the Riverside," "A Mighty Fortress is Our God," a collection of Garth Brooks hits and several other selections.
Pat Schwent will the lead the band.
The concert begins at 8 p.m. at the band shell at Jackson City Park. Admission is free. Bring a lawnchair or blanket for seating.
