5-year-old saves the day
On Sunday, Cindy Drewett and her 5-year-old daughter Lauren were shopping at Lowes in Cape Girardeau. A woman approached Cindy, somewhat frantically, and said, "Ma'am, may I borrow your daughter?" An odd question, to be sure. Cindy Drewett asked the nature of the need, and the lady detailed, "I have locked my keys in the car, but the window is open. I can't reach the keys, or the latch to the door. But your daughter may be able to." Little Lauren, the smallest in her class, was a giant on this day. She was able to crawl through the open window, open the door and save the day.
