State Sen. Peter Kinder will participate in a committee hearing Tuesday in Jefferson City where public testimony will be taken about how the state supports agriculture.
The Cape Girardeau Republican is one of five senators serving on the Joint Committee on Agricultural Institutions, which also has five representatives.
"We are seeking to hear from all people who are affected by the state's agriculture policy. Farmers, small businessmen and women, and any other interested parties are welcome to attend," said Kinder.
The hearing, which will be the committee's first formal hearing, will start at 10 a.m. in the Senate Lounge. Testimony will be taken after a presentation by University of Missouri Chancellor Charles Kiesler.
Anyone interested in testifying may contact Kinder's Jefferson City office at 751-2455.
