Joe Golieniowski, vice president and general manager of KFVS-TV in Cape Girardeau, has announced he will leave the station to become president and general manager of WHAS-TV, Louisville, Ky.
Golieniowski has been general manager at KFVS since 1985 and before that was general manager of WAFF-TV in Huntsville, Ala.
Golieniowski said the move will allow him to work in a larger television market.
WHAS-TV is owned by the Providence Journal Publishing Company.
Howard Meagle, currently general manager of WITN-TV in Washington, N.C., will become the new general manager at KFVS. Meagle was operations manager at KFVS in the early 1980s.
