Russia has 48 medical doctors trained in chiropractic procedures for certain disorders.

"We trained the Soviet doctors during a recent visit to Moscow," said Dr. Robert Kessinger, a Cape Girardeau chiropractor. "Seven members of the Kale Network Team spent a week in Moscow, teaching medical doctors the upper cervical specific procedure."

While in Moscow, the Kale Team saw about 3,000 patients.

"We plan to return to Moscow," said Kessinger, who is the world trip coordinator for the Kale Network. "We're also looking at trips to Bulgaria and Japan."

Others involved in the latest mission from the U.S. were Dr. R.J. Kelley, Houston, Texas; Dr. Michael Kale, Spartanburg, S.C., head of the Kale Network; Dr. Bernie Kaseman, Spartanburg; Dr. Rick Howard, Indiana; Dr. Bradley Rausch, Vermont, and Dr. Isabelle Ayers, Canada.

"While in Moscow we trained 48 doctors in chiropractic procedures," said Kessinger. "We had been invited to Moscow by the Christian Medical Society of Russia."

The trip to Moscow was the second for Kessinger and Kale, who visited there last November.

"The people we checked in Moscow had disorders of all kinds, from leukemia to asthma, epilepsy, blindness and deafness," said Kessinger. He said the next trip would involve as many as 50 U.S. doctors with a goal of seeing 50,000 patients.

"This is all volunteer service," said Kessinger. "We even pay our own airfare."
