Kenny Rogers Center aids area children

Young is undergoing intensive therapy, three to four hours of therapy five days a week for three to four weeks, with a goal of improving his standing balance and walking more with his assistance device. The special suit Young is wearing is a soft orthopedic suit that costs $5,000 and uses rubber bands to provide resistance to his movements. The center provides occupational, physical and speech therapy for children with all types of special needs and developmental delays. The center serves approximately 500 children in Southeast Missouri. The KRCC Telethon, a fundraiser for the center, will be March 29 and 30 at the Sikeston Field House.
