KENNETT, Mo. -- A Kennett man accused in the murder of his wife is out on bond, said Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney Jeff McCormick.

Bond was set Thursday by Circuit Judge Robert Mayer at $1 million for Allan Branum, charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the shooting death of his wife, Regena, in May 2014.

The Dunklin County Sheriff's Office confirmed Branum no longer was in custody. McCormick said Branum is subject to electronic monitoring.

Branum is accusing of shooting his wife during an argument at their home May 22, 2014. She died the next day at a Memphis, Tennessee, hospital.
