KENNETT, Mo. -- A Kennett man has been charged in a fatal shooting that happened around 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of South Hopper Street.
Jeremy J. Corcoran, 37, is charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action.
He is accused of shooting Andres Tijerina Jr., 23, of Kennett a number of times with a 9 mm pistol. Police said Tijerina was pronounced dead at the scene by Dunklin County Corner James Powell.
Corcoran is being held without bond at the Dunklin County Jail.
Capt. Tim Trowbridge of the Kennett Police Department said the investigation continues, so anyone with information is asked to call 573-888-4622.
