GUANTANAMO BAY NAVAL BASE, Cuba -- Shaking maracas and sporting revealing outfits, a group of cheerleaders performed for U.S. troops at this remote military outpost in a show that drew howls and applause from hundreds of servicemen.

The 10 women -- most of them former National Football League cheerleaders -- danced on stage at an outdoor movie theater Friday night.

"This is the best entertainment we've had," said Marine Lance Cpl. Perry Page of Kennett, Mo., who stood to dance with cheerleaders.

"It's really motivating. It brings our morale up," said Page, 26. He is helping build a new prison for detainees from Afghanistan.
