KENNETT, Mo. -- Authorities say a work-related accident took the life of a Kennett man Tuesday and resulted in another being flown to Memphis, Tenn., for treatment of serious injuries.

Pemiscot County officials said deputies there were called to the Oakley Inc. site at the Pemiscot County Port Authority regarding two male employees who had reportedly fallen from a catwalk inside the plant.

Lt. Ryan Holder said it was determined that one of the victims died as a result of the accident. The second employee involved in the incident was being treated by medical personnel.

Officials had yet to release either victim's name Wednesday morning and said they had no updated report on his condition.
