Kelso resident marks 90th year

KELSO, Mo. -- Juanita Moore of Kelso celebrated her 90th birthday recently at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Tonita and Troy Wilburn, in Kelso. The party was held by four of her children, including Wilburn, Rita McClellan of Gordonville, Texas, Karen Griffith of Chaffee, Mo., and Bob Moore of Gainsville, Texas.

Moore was born July 26, 1914, in Cairo, Ill., and lived there until her retirement in 1984. She and Robert C. Moore were married Sept. 15, 1934. He died Dec. 16, 1954. She worked for many years at Mack's Barbeque in Cairo before becoming a nurse at Southern Seven Health Department.

She moved to Kelso in 1995.
