BENTON -- Thomas Kelly High School Principal Ernie Lawson has been hired as the high school principal at Chaffee schools for the 1994-95 school year.
The high school boys' basketball coach, Greg Dunigan, is also leaving. He will be a teacher and head boys' basketball coach at Union High School in Union, Mo.
Superintendent Mike Johnson, who is taking a new job as superintendent at Poplar Bluff, said the Kelly School District is seeking applicants for high school principal and basketball coach. New Kelly superintendent, Ron McSoreley of Vandalia, Mo., will begin work in July.
Lawson has been the high school principal at Kelly for five years. Prior to coming to Kelly he was high school principal at Oran High SChool.
Dunigan has been the head basketball coach at Kelly for the past four years. Prior to coaching and teaching at Kelly, he served as a teacher and coach in the Woodland School District.
Also resigning from the school are Lyman Ashcraft, retiring science teacher; Clint Johnston, high school science teacher and head baseball coach; and Gail Robertson, social studies teacher and cheerleading sponsor.
